Amidst the Coronavirus surge, many celebs and citizens are taking their vaccines since the government opened the vaccination program for people aged 18 years and above. Before getting the vaccine, one has to get themselves registered and it looks like Bollywood’s Power-couple Riteish Deshmukh and wife Genelia D’souza have gotten the chance as they have taken their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine amid the crisis. The two even shared pictures of themselves getting vaccinated on their respective Instagram accounts.

Sharing the pictures, they both say that they have to fight the monster together. The photo caption read, “Get Vaccinated!!! Let’s fight this monster together.... #vaccinationdone #vaccination”. Some fans are elated their idols have taken the first jab while some are asking them the name of the vaccine. Genelia and Riteish have been advocating about the vaccine and urging them to take it as soon as possible. That’s not it, they have been also spreading awareness and requesting people to stay safe and wear the mask by making multiple posts on social media. 

A while ago, the Housefull actor dropped a video in Marathi, where he was seen spreading awareness of getting vaccinated against the virus. The actor feels it is the need of the hour and all of us need to get vaccinated. Even Sonakshi Sinha took to her Instagram to inform her fans and followers that she has received the first shot of the vaccine. 


Meanwhile, plenty of actors and sportsperson have got themselves vaccinated in recent times. Stars like Indian Skipper Virat Kohli, cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, actors Farhan Akhtar, Kartik Aaryan, Ankita Lokhande, Radhika Madan, Gurmeet Choudhary and wife Debina and others have taken their first jab of the COVID-19 vaccine.
